Before we get to that full HTC U11 review, we always need to get that fresh unboxing in. Thanks to HTC for sending one over, we now have a unit in house to get to testing. This is a sapphire blue Sprint unit, by the way.



With the HTC U11 unboxing experience, you get more than is normal. Outside of the phone, HTC is tossing in USonic earbuds, 3.5mm to USB Type-C adapter (!), clear case, cleaning cloth, and quick charger. Not bad HTC, not bad. Most phones are lucky to be joined by earbuds, let alone a case, adapter, and extra cloth to keep your shine on.



The video below doesn’t necessarily dive into any tests, but it does give you another look at this liquid metal beauty.



The new HTC U11+ just showed up at my door, so I thought I'd treat you guys to an unboxing and a quick look at HTC Sense's new interface with Android Oreo.

INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1:



Your Samsung Smartphone should have at-least 30-40 percent of phone batter to perform the flashing process.

Download and install Samsung USB Driver on your computer. In case you have already installed the Samsung USB Driver on your computer then Skip this step.

STEP 2:



Download (Stock ROM compatible with your device or if you have already downloaded the firmware then ignore downloading it again) and extract it on your computer. After extracting you will be able to see these kind of files:

STEP 3:



Now, you have to boot into Download mode. To boot into Download Mode: Press and Hold Volume Down Key, Home Key and Power Key. When phone vibrates Leave the Power Key but Keep holding the Volume Down Key and Home key. You will boot into the Download Mode.

In the Download mode you will be able to see a Warning Yellow Triangle Sign. In this situation you have to press the Volume up key to continue.

STEP 4:



Download and extract Odin on your computer. After extracting you will be able to see the following files:

Now, Open Odin 1.85 and connect your phone to the computer

Once you have connected the phone to the computer, Odin will automatically recognize the device and show “Added” message at the lower-left panel.

Once your device is detected by Odin, click on the “PDA” button and select the tar.md5 file that you have extracted in Step #2.

STEP 5:





Now, click on the “Start” button in Odin to begin the Flashing process.

Once you see, the Green Pass Message then remove the USB cable from the device (during this process, your device will restart automatically).

Now switch on your device and after reaching Google verification screen.

STEP 6:



On your computer, download the APK file you need to install from your OTG. [link here]

Plug your flash drive to your computer and copy the file to the root directory (don’t place it inside a folder so you can easily find it).

Plug the OTG cable to your phone and plug the flash drive to the other end of the cable.

The Samsung device will automatically launch the file explorer showing the root directory of the flash drive you just plugged in.

Touch the APK file.

A system dialog box will pop up warning you that side loading of apps is blocked by default. Touch Settings to continue.

STEP 7:



Tap Unknown Sources, then OK. You can proceed to the installation of the APK file.
